As a family business it makes sense to use the family name. We started from humble beginnings from generations of dockers forming an agency providing labour in the port industry

What's in a name?

Reginald "Bill" Oliver - Lorraine's father, Emma's grandfather

January 1987  |  Port of Sheerness

Olivers were formed in 2016 by Lorraine Wade with her daughter Emma and son Andy on a consulting basis

At Olivers formation Lorraine had over 20 years experience in labour provision in the port industrry with her former business Portside Contractors

Lorraine was one of the first female checkers in the port industry in 1993 -described in the media as Storming the last bastion of male supremacy

Lorraine has now retired; Emma manages all day-to-day aspects of the business; Andy consults on process improvement and efficiency and Stacey supports with resource planning

We are 4th generation dockers although we have evolved our business to be labour provision specialists in many supply chain, logistics, consturction and manufacturing industrys

In 2019 Olivers obtained AITT training acceditation
